After winning the bid of 300MW/600MWh collective mining at the end of 2021, this is the second time in nearly a year that Shanghai Neng Electric has been shortlisted for large-scale new energy distribution storage collective mining by China National Nuclear Corporation.
Under the strong demand for new energy distribution storage, the energy storage demand of major power generation groups on the new energy side is rapidly rising. Energy storage products of Shangneng Electric have been certified by major central enterprises in price and technology through multi-level evaluation by virtue of their features of small land area, high efficiency, centralized management and easy installation and maintenance, and have highlighted their advantages in energy storage demonstration projects around the country. As a new energy veteran, Shangneng Electric previously focused on the field of photovoltaic inverters, and its distributed inverters have supplied Huadian, Three Gorges, Jingneng, China Energy Conservation and other photovoltaic power station projects. Currently, the main product of Shangneng Electric is AC energy storage converter, which covers the full power range of 140kW~3.45MW. It can be applied to photovoltaic + energy storage, independent energy storage, industrial and commercial energy storage and other scenarios.
In addition, the unique series of energy storage converters of Shangneng Electric have attracted more attention from the market. On the one hand, they can effectively improve the power station's revenue, and on the other hand, they can save the initial cost. By realizing the one-to-one accurate management of PCS and battery cluster, the serial-type energy storage converter can ensure that the failure of single cluster battery or single PCS does not affect the normal operation of other devices, and maximize the available capacity of the energy storage system, with the system availability rate reaching more than 99.99%, effectively improving the income of the power station. At the same time, the mode also supports the mix of old and new batteries and recharge by stages, which can reduce the DC side oversupply capacity by 7.0% and greatly reduce the initial investment cost.
Take the world's first 100MW distributed controlled energy storage power station located in Huangtai Power Plant as an example. The installed capacity of this power station is 118MW/212MWh, and it adopts 1500V series energy storage converter and voltage booster integrated machine. Nearly one year after it was put into operation at the end of December 2021, the average charging capacity of the whole station can still reach 208.6MWh. The discharge capacity is 181.9MWh. The latest grid-connected test results show that the efficiency of the power station is up to 87.8%, which once again verifies the technical advantages of the cluster energy storage solution, such as better investment and higher returns.
